Wed, 21 October 2009 There's just too much going on lately for us to cover all of it. Of course, we here at DDD have somewhat odd standards sometimes. Today is not one of those times. The race for the 2nd district City Council seat seems to be really heating up. Many questions have been left unanswered. Danny has decided to take today's show to offer another appearance for candidate for that seat, Robert Wagner. Today, Wagner answers a number of questions including his thoughts on the DNT's endorsement of his opponent, Boyle's no-show at the DNT's own candidate forum, accusations against Wagner about his true intentions in this race, and the fire department. It's a good conversation. Ashley and Danny also read and provide their patented in-depth analysis of the actual DNT endorsement of Doyle that is in-question. Good show today, folks. Enjoy! The 2d district race isn't heating up Danny you moron. I predict Patrick 75% of the vote. Rob is probably a lot more fun than Patrick, but as city councilor? No way. BTW, Big D: your endorsement for anybody is the kiss of death for me and everyone I know.
Once again. You read the description without listening to the show.
But that's ok. My numbers keep going up without you.
Moron.

Danny, your letter in today's DNT was completely ineffectual: it was basically a rant against Progressive Action and against the DNT for not endorsing your buddy Rob Wagner. Your letter completely lacked any argument for WHY anyone should vote for Wagner. Dude, don't just bitch and complain about Patrick Boyle and his supporters, give me some good reasons for voting for Wagner! And, "he's a minority" doesn't cut it, except with morons who buy into identity politics like you obviously do.
Now, if you want to see a perfect example of an effective letter supporting a candidate, look at the letter on the same page by Claire Kirch. It was a well-written, positive, and articulate argument explaining why people should vote for Beth Olson. There was no anger, no hatred expressed towards the other candidates. Kirch's letter was just solid recounting of what Olson has done in the past, her personal qualities, and her qualifications for city council.
Having smart and upbeat people like Claire Kirch in her corner is why Beth Olson is going to prevail Tuesday. Having angry jerks who can't argue their positions in his corner is why Rob Wagner is going to lose and lose big Tuesday.
